The Scribner Improvement and Industrial Corporation is a non-profit organization managed by a nine member Board. The Scribner Improvement and Industrial Corporate members are committed to building capacity, energizing citizens and preserving unique character and quality of life in our hometown.

The Scribner Improvement and Industrial Corporation, the City of Scribner, Scribner Area Chamber of Commerce, Scribner Housing Corporation, Great Plains Economic Development and the Local and State Economic Development Offices work together for industrial development in the Scribner area.

These professional economic development groups are available to assist new and existing businesses in the area. All contacts are treated confidentially.

    Business Retention and Expansion (BR & E) Survey

    In February of 2007, business visitation teams interviewd Dodge County businesses to collect their views on the strengths and challenges of the area's economy as well as to learn more about the needs of individual operations. A total of 60 businesses in four communities responded ot the survey with 25 of the interviews taking place in Scribner. Six of the businesses were given follow-up information from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development.
