Library Board
The library board helps the library sponsor the Tannenbaum Festival held every other year.

Social Educational Arts Club of Scribner (SEA)
Our mission is to guard morals, ideals and health of family in our home. To grow by study, observation and participation in affairs of home, community, nation and world. To share time, talents and material wealth with others.
SEA is an organization for adult women that meets the 4th Monday of the month at 1:00 pm in member's homes or other selected places.

They annually support and donate, including monetary gifts, to a charity, needy organization or project within the area.
Scribner Arts Council
While this group doesn't meet on a regular basis, it does bring from time to time talent and entertainment to Scribner. It especially focuses on bringing programs into the school system that are educational and fun and of interest to youth. The Scribner Art Council has in the past sponsored Christmas home tours, garden walks, musical presentations and speakers.
Active members in 2005 include Barbara Muller, Mildred Von Seggern, Gwen Helgenberger, Nona Wiese and Loree Dahl.

Scribner Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department
Scribner has one of the finest all volunteer departments in the state. There are a total of 36 volunteers and the department is one of the few in the state that has a waiting list for membership. Twenty-three of the volunteers are Emergency Medical Technicians and four of the volunteers are Paramedics
Scribner Fire and Rescue responds to approximately 170 calls per year and they are responsible for fire and rescue calls within a 97 square mile area in Dodge County. They serve a population of approximately 1,320. In addition to the emergency response calls, these dedicated individuals take time out of their busy schedules to attend ongoing training meetings and drills that are held several times throughout the month.
Civil defense duties include spotting for tornadoes and manning the flood gates in the event of weather emergencies. Tax dollars fund the department. The department hosts a variety of fund raising activities. An annual pancake feed and fish fry are two of the biggest fund raising events for the departments.
Outreach activities include:
- Burger Cook Out at the Citywide Haze Days Celebration
- Halloween Candy and glow sticks for trick-or-treaters at the City Park
- Poster contests, station tours and truck rides given during Fire Prevention Week at the Fire Station
- Fire Prevention education and training for elementary students at Scribner-Snyder Schools
- Smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and first aid training in the community
- Smoke detector door to door battery testing
- Building clean up at fair grounds before and after the Dodge County Fair
- Fire and Rescue services during Dodge County Fair

Tree Board of the City of Scribner
An annual event is held on Arbor Day each April with programs involving Scribner Snyder School 5th and 6th graders at the City Park which was dedicated as a new affiliate site Nebraska statewide Arboretum in 2005. Tree Board members are Dan Krienert, Chairman, Jane Armstrong, Lee Burkink, Cindy Ries and Shelly Stockamp.
